Stainless Steel

Stainless steel has many desirable properties that contribute greatly to its widespread application in the making of parts and components across many construction sectors.

The chromium content of the steel allows the formation of a rough, adherent, invisible corrosion-resisting chromium oxide film on the steel surface. If damaged mechanically or chemically, this film is self-healing, providing that oxygen, even in very small amounts, is present.

Technical features

  • All stainless steels are iron-based alloys that contain a minimum of around 10.5% Chromium.
  • Type 304 is the basic chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel and has been found suitable for the widest range of applications in all kinds of products and Stainless-steel architectural work.
